This eagle is beautiful and majestic. Tragically it is also blind. He was saved from staving to death by a Bear Lake fish & game warden.
This all could have been avoided if someone had obeyed the law and not used LEAD shot for bird hunting. (which has been outlawed for YEARS!!!)
This hungry eagle ate a bird with lead shot pellets. They became trapped in eagle and leached out into his blood.....poisoning him.....causing permadent blindness & nearly costing him his life.
The happy ending is that this bird was taken in by a sactuary in Utah and will be kept healthy and used to teach kids and people about the blessing eagles are and how to protect them.
Please obey ALL laws by fish & game.....they are not ment to resrict us but to protect our animals & enviroments.
