Well, about a week ago all the squirrels in the neighborhood started coming out of hibernation. We were surprised to suddenly find chair cushions chewed, hammock stings gnawed through and bird feeders emptied. The we spotted the culprit. A "fat" squirrel the kids have dubbed Hot Wheels. We started leaving trail mix out for him. These are the pictures we got of him sneaking raisins off to higher & safer ground. Hot Wheels is not fond of our dog Asia. The feeling must be mutual. She keep watch for him though the back glass door and alerts us all when he is eating. He is smart enough to tease her with his tail and funny ears until he hears the door handle turn. Then Hot Wheels is gone in a flash of fur up the tree.
These are just more of the things we are really loving about Flagstaff.
