Exploring Arizona

Each weekend we try to find something new to do. The kids love these little family adventures. Last weekend we went to Sunset Crater (Volcano) & the old indian ruins. The kids earned their Jr. Ranger badges at each park and learned a lot about these great sights.

Earning badges at Sunset Crater Visitor Center.

Hiking the trail around the crater:

Next we headed down the road a few miles to Wupatiki indian ruins. It was so fun....one of the ruins farther out actually allows people inside. Luke and Seth were so funny to watch. They kept trying to imagine how cool it would be to play army or cowboys and indians from the big rock house on the cliff.

Luke thought this great little room would've been his if he had lived with the indians who built this amazing home.

And last but not least the kids earned their Wupatki Jr. Ranger badges after filling out their information sheets and being tested on the things they learned.
